Spider-Man: Far From Home Logo Officially Unveiled By Sony

More than a month after star Tom Holland “accidentally” revealed the title of the sequel to 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, Sony Pictures has officially debuted the logo for Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Appearing this morning of the Spider-Man movie social media accounts, the logo appears to be the same as the one glimpsed as Holland so casually flashed as iPad in the video filmed backstage at Seattle’s Ace Comic Con.

The design follows that of Homecoming, only with the colors of “Spider-Man” reversed; here it’s red with a yellow outline, rather than yellow with a red outline, like the 2017 original. The subtitle similarly employs a handwriting- or graffiti-inspired font for the subtitle, with a “spray-painted” Spider-Man face in place of the “O.”

Director Jon Watts’ sequel began principal photography last month in London, underscoring the subtitle as Holland’s Peter Parker travels to Europe with his classmates. Jake Gyllenhaal is widely expected to star as classic Spider-Man foe Mysterio, possibly joined by Numan Acar as Chameleon and a returning Michael Keaton as Adrian Toomes. Samuel L. Jackson has also hinted at an appearance by Nick Fury, although that’s far from confirmed.

Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. It is scheduled to be released on July 5, 2019.
