Key Godzilla: King of the Monsters Role Reportedly Revealed

One character at the end of the trailer though, played by Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), remained a mystery, but now rumors are suggesting he may well be a villain.
According to Discussing Film, Dance will be playing someone harvesting these monsters (aka the Titans) to sell on the black market. From his line, “Long live the king,” it does seem he wants them dead for these purposes, backing Godzilla only because he sees a means to an end.

This role is somewhat similar to Ron Perlman’s Hannibal Chau from Pacific Rim, who operated in the same capacity, selling kaiju remains to the highest bidders for fuel, jewelry, medicine, etc. If this turns out to be true, it seems the Titans may be facing more danger than just each other, with the Monarch science team even hinted to have a more sinister role this time around.
Arriving March 22, 2019, director Michael Dougherty’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters stars Vera Farmiga, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Aisha Hinds and Zhang Ziyi.
