Fan Trailer That Replaces Venom Symbiote with Flubber is Perfection
The greatest threats mankind will face likely won’t come from the depths of space. Instead, they will be created on our own world, by human hands. That’s the message one could argue is baked into a fan-made trailer for Venom that seamlessly works in a selection of scenes from the 1997 Robin Williams movie Flubber.

The trailer asks the ever-prescient question: What if Flubber had a similar power set to that of the Venom symbiote, but was also occasionally the butt of a butt joke? The creators over at Nerdist have added their own layer of visual effects on top of some additional Flubber scenes to give this question the honest, true platform that it deserves.
First debuting in 1997, Flubber follows the story of a scientist (Robin Williams) who creates a bizarre substance that can defy the laws of physics. The substance also happens to be sentient and chitters adorably every once in a while. In the film, the Flubber substance boasts incredibe elasticity and speed. It’s even fast and lithe enough to enter a man’s mouth and exit through a kid’s movie-appropriate orifice.

Venom, on the other hand, adapts the Spider-Man villain of the same name for the big screen. Debuting in theaters on Oct. 5, Venom is directed by Ruben Fleischer and stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze and Reid Scott.
