Avengers 4: Jeremy Renner Declares It’s Time to Suit Up

Jeremy Renner has finally broken radio silence. Last night, the Marvel Cinematic Universe actor teased fans on Instagram by sharing a picture of Hawkeye from Captain America: Civil War.

But Renner didn’t stop there, he added a caption that all but confirms the actor is ready to gear up for Avengers 4. “Got this feelin I need to SUITup soon…” the actor wrote, putting a curious emphasis on the word “suit” with capital letters.

The actor seems to be teasing his character’s new superhero costume, which has long been  hinted at during the shoot of the fourth Avengers film. Renner has long played coy with his role, and now it appears he’s letting us know that actual Avengers 4 news is coming.

This weekend saw the annual Comic-Con International in San Diego take the pop-culture world by storm — an event that Marvel Studios usually makes a big splash at. However, the studio opted to sit the convention out. Therefore, the timing of Renner’s post may not be by accident. With one last day of SDCC left, could Marvel be about to stealth-release a promo artwork poster featuring Hawkeye in his new costume?

Marvel has released promo artwork posters at every past convention, often releasing more than one throughout the weekend. The studio already released a 10-year Anniversary poster at the start of the show, but we wouldn’t put it past Marvel to create a bit of a conundrum during this Sunday’s final day of SDCC.

Barring that, Renner might just be toying with fans, finally acknowledging Hawkeye’s absence from Avengers: Infinity War. The character was infamously missing from Marvel’s biggest movie ever, and theories as to why Hawkeye wasn’t in the film have been flying left and right ever since. Now, with the hasghtags #comingINhot, #missmyfriends and #lovemyfamily, the actor seems to be telling us that he’s about to join the Marvel family once again. Could this mean that the Avengers marketing machine is about to start up once again?
