TV Ratings: 'Big Brother' Gets Another Lift

'Marlon' wraps its second season.

CBS still managed to win Thursday evening despite only one hour of original programming.

Another improved episode of Big Brother, rebounding from the holiday week, came in with a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49 and 5.3 million viewers. That was enough to propel the network to No. 1 status on both counts, though its real audience winner of the night was technically a Big Bang Theory repeat.

Fox put out another two-hour block of musical competition The Four. It averaged a 0.8 rating among adults 18-49 and 2.8 million viewers for the network, edging out ABC's own reality block in the key demo. As for the Disney-owned net, it put out steady episodes of The Gong Show (0.5 adults), Match Game (0.6 adults) and, at 10 o'clock, drama Take Two (0.5 adults).

NBC put out another softer episode of Little Big Shots. It took a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49 before back-to-back episodes of Marlon held with a 0.6 demo rating throughout the 9 p.m. hour. That's it for the comedy's second season. Linear ratings were down significantly from the freshman run, largely because of its much softer lead-in. The first season of Marlon had a very real boost from America's Got Talent.
