The Predator’s Final Trailer Delivers the Gore — and the F-Bombs
Two weeks ahead of the film’s eagerly anticipated theatrical release, the final trailer for director Shane Black’s The Predator brings together all of the gore, humor and profanity that fans could hope for.
The trailer introduces the band of ex-military misfits led by Boyd Holbrook’s Quinn McKenna, a former Army Ranger whose accounts of an earlier run-in with a Predator has resulted in him being placed in handcuffs and branded crazy. However, it appears as if he may be Earth’s best hope against the aliens.
The footage also serves as a reintroduction to the Predator, just in case movie-goers are somehow unfamiliar with the concept, while rolling out new elements like the “Ultimate Predator” as well as the Predator Hounds, which are exactly what the name suggests.
From the outer reaches of space to the to the backwoods of southern Georgia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before. And only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and an evolutionary biology professor can prevent the end of the human race.
Directed by Shane Black from a script he wrote with Fred Dekker, The Predator stars Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Yvonne Strahovski. The film arrives in theaters on Sept. 14.
