The Flash Movie Starts Production February 2019

Warner Bros. and DC Films’ long-awaited Flash solo film hasn’t exactly raced its way to theaters, but it seems there’s some hope for the Scarlet Speedster’s first starring film on the silver screen as a new report indicates the motion picture will film in February of 2019.

According to PursueNews, which spotted a recent Production Weekly listing indicating as much, The Flash will begin production in February 2019, in Atlanta, Georgia.

While The Flash has been long-rumored to film in London, England, it seems Atlanta — home of several big-name Marvel movies like Avengers: Infinity War and Spider-Man: Homecoming — will serve as the home for the production of The Flash.

Helmed by Game Night directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the latest version of the big-screen Flash comes from a script by Joby Harold (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword). Though initially set to adapt the DC Comics storyline Flashpoint, the movie will reportedly no longer touch the beloved Geoff Johns/Andy Kubert comic.

The film will star Justice League’s Ezra Miller as speedster Barry Allen/The Flash, along with Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, with Billy Crudup reprising his role as Barry’s father, Henry Allen. It will reportedly strike theaters in 2020.
