Simon Pegg & Nick Frost Reunite in Slaughterhouse Rulez Trailer
Comedy double act Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are back together in the first trailer for director Crispian Mills’ horror comedy Slaughterhouse Rulez.
After starring together in such films as Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End, Pegg and Frost are branching out beyond the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, and take the horror genre to a British boarding school.
The first full trailer fits Pegg’s promise of a subterranean monster movie as a group of teachers and students finds a terrifying sinkhole with a horde of ravenous creatures inside. Pegg plays teacher and cricket fanatic Meredith Houseman as he is dragged into the murky world of detention and demons. Frost is Woody, who seems to have more of an understanding of what horrors await Slaughterhouse School.

The cast is rounded off by Asa Butterfield (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children), Finn Cole (Peaky Blinders), Hermione Corfield (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) and Michael Sheen (Frost/Nixon).
Pegg and Frost have worked together for years, and first rose to fame on the British comedy series Spaced. Although Pegg has gone on to find Hollywood stardom in the likes of Star Trek and Mission: Impossible, he is heading back to his roots for Slaughterhouse Rulez.

With a similar vibe to 2011’s Attack the Block, only time will tell whether Mills’ movie can stand out from the rest of the crowd. Although there is no word from Sony about Slaughterhouse Rulez‘s U.S. release, it will hit U.K. cinemas on Oct. 31 — just in time for Halloween.
