Shyamalan’s Glass Releases First Teaser Ahead of SDCC Trailer Debut
The first trailer for the next entry in M. Night Shyamalan’s unique superhero universe is slated to arrive later this week, but before it makes its debut, Universal has released a teaser for Glass.
Expected to arrive during the studio’s Comic-Con International presentation, the film, starring is direct sequel to both Unbreakable and Split. Shyamalan’s trilogy began in 2000’s Unbreakable, starring Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson. Years later, Shyamalan released 2017’s Split, starring James McAvoy, a film that took everyone by suprise when it was confirmed to take place in the same universe as Unbreakable.

Split‘s ending of Dunn hearing about the horrific actions of Kevin Crumb while eating in a diner neatly set up a follow-up to the previous film from nearly two decades earlier. Shyamalan has always made it clear he wanted to make a sequel and the box office success of Split finally allowed him to realize that dream. Directed and written by M. Night Shyamalan, Glass is slated for release Jan. 18, 2019. The film stars James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb/The Beast, Bruce Willis as David Dunn, Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price/Mr. Glass and Sarah Paulson as Ellie Staple.
