Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus will see much of the original series’ voice cast return. Richard Horvitz will reprise his role as Zim, along with Rikki Simons as GIR, Andy Berman as Dib Membrane, Melissa Fahn as Gaz Membrane, Wally Wingert as Almighty Tallest Red, Kevin McDonald as Almighty Tallest Purple and Rodger Bumpass as Professor Membrane. The TV movie will also see the return of Olivia d’Abo’s Tak, one of Zim’s Irken rivals.
“Zim’s plot to return to TV has become a success with Enter the Florpus,” reads a press release quote credited to “someone trying to imagine what Jhonen Vasquez would say if he came out of hiding.” “It’s exciting to give fans an early sneak peek of the movie and I hope they enjoy it and I’m definitely Jhonen Vasquez and not just someone making up a quote for him!”
Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus focuses on Zim’s realization that the Almighty Tallest have no intention of coming to Earth to witness Zim’s conquering. Zim’s crisis of confidence creates an opening for his human opponent, Dib. The press release also stresses that at some point during the TV movie GIR will ride a small pony, which is “all anyone should really care about.”
