Munn: Fox ‘Silent for Two Days’ After She Reported Predator Sex Offender
Following reports that Fox cut a scene in The Predator featuring a registered sex offender, actress Olivia Munn has revealed the studio was initially quiet following her concerns.
Munn revealed to Variety that Fox was quiet after she initially reported to the studio that she shared a scene with a registered sex offender. In fact, she had to follow up her original call and tell the studio she was “uncomfortable” presenting at the MTV Awards with her fellow The Predator co-star Keegan Michael Key unless Striegel was cut from the film.

“When I called, (Fox) was silent for two days,” said Munn. “I did have to reach out again and say I didn’t feel comfortable presenting at the MTV Awards with Keegan (Michael Key) unless this guy was out of it.”
During the two days that Munn didn’t hear back from Fox, she admits it’s possible the studio was already at work on removing the actor — she simply was frustrated having not heard back quickly.

“I’m not saying they weren’t working on it behind the scenes,” said Munn. “I just didn’t hear anything about it. But I’m happy that they did obviously because I’m proud of the work we did in this movie, we all worked really, really hard, and I wouldn’t be able to morally stand behind this movie with this guy in there.”
Striegel, who has been friends with director Shane Black for over 14 years, pleaded guilty to two felonies in 2010 and spent six months in jail for trying to lure a 14-year-old girl into a sexual relationship over the internet. Upon his release, Striegel landed roles in Black’s films such as The Nice Guys and Iron Man 3. Since it was revealed that Fox had cut the actor in a scene which he reportedly hit on Munn’s character, Black has since apologized, admitting he’d made the mistake of trusting Striegel rather than looking more into the facts — which he has since done.
