Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Honest Trailer Visits the Bland Before Time
Proving there’s no film too new to skewer, the newest Honest Trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has arrived on the day of its Blu-ray release.
The satirical trailer opens with the sentence, “Just when you thought the Jurassic franchise couldn’t get any dumber, a sequel will show anyone still clinging to the corpse of the original: you ain’t seen stupid yet.”

In the narrator’s voice-over, everything is questioned and critiqued, from the correct pronunciation of dinosaur-riddled Isla Nublar to the decision to build a prehistoric dinosaur preserve on top of an active volcano.
One of the video’s highlights includes a twist on Jeff Goldblum’s most famous line from the original Jurassic Park film: “When it comes to Jurassic Park,” the narrator said, before inserting footage of Goldblum’s Dr. Ian Malcolm, “dumb, uh, finds a way.”
For those who have yet to see Fallen Kingdom, the Honest Trailer assures us Dr. Malcolm has at least briefly returned for this newest installment of the franchise, something many fans had hoped to see in its 2015 predecessor, Jurassic World. The character’s cameo in that film was limited to an appearance on a book’s dust jacket.
Other returning characters, who earn their own jabs in the trailer, include “cold-hearted mercenary” Owen (Chris Pratt) and “caring animal activist” Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard).
Viewers may laugh along with the Honest Trailer, but Fallen Kingdom enjoyed considerable success at the box office this summer, crossing the $1 billion mark globally in July. It is only the 35th movie to hit that high watermark, joining fellow 2018 sensations Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther.

It looks like Honest Trailers will get another crack at the series, too, as a third film Jurassic World is slated for production in 2021.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is available now on digital HD and Blu-ray.
