Jerry O’Connell to Host Bravo Late-Night Show
O'Connell will host 'Real Men Watch Bravo,' set to premiere this fall.
Jerry O'Connell is set to host a new late-night talk show, titled Real Men Watch Bravo, premiering this fall. The actor and avowed Real Housewives fan will co-exec produce the series with Andy Cohen, the NBCUniversal cable network announced on Monday morning.
Each episode of the show — produced under Embassy Row, the production company responsible for Cohen's Watch What Happens Live — will feature O'Connell and a panel of male celebrities, comedians and tastemakers discussing pop culture with an emphasis on Bravo programming.
According to Bravo's announcement, Real Men Watch Bravo "will offer unprecedented access to the male point of view pertaining to all things Bravo and entertainment" as O'Connell is "truly a walking encyclopedia of Bravo history."
The statement continued: "Whether realizing they were a die-hard Vanderpump Rules fan after being introduced to the sizzling series by their girlfriends or learning how to cook the perfect filet from binging Top Chef episodes for hours, these men are unapologetic Bravoholics and hope to encourage others to step out of the shadows and admit what some have known all along…Real Men Watch Bravo."
O'Connell — who currently stars on Bravo's Canadian crime drama Carter — is a frequent guest on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where he expresses his passionate opinions about the network's roster of reality TV hits.
In November, Cohen extended his overall deal with Bravo to stay put at the network through 2020. As part of the agreement, Cohen will continue to host Watch What Happens Live along with other reunions and specials for Bravo. He will also continue to serve as an exec producer on the Real Housewives franchise, which he helped launch when he was a development executive at the cable company in the early aughts.
