Halloween’s Jamie Lee Curtis Boards Rian Johnson’s Knives Out
Jamie Lee Curtis has lined up her next film project following the success of this month’s Halloween revival.
The Golden Globe-winning actor has signed on to Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, a modern-day murder mystery updating the classic pulp whodunit stories popularized by novelists such as Agatha Christie and films such as Clue.

Curtis joins an all-star cast including Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Lakeith Stanfield, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, and Ana de Armas. Details on Curtis’ character are currently under wraps but Craig is reportedly playing a detective investigating the film’s inciting crime.
The project is Rian Johnson’s first film since writing and directing last year’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The filmmaker will co-produce, write, and direct the upcoming murder mystery with principal photography expected to begin next month for a December 2019 release through MRC. Johnson will be joined by longtime producing partner Ram Bergman on the project.
