Giant, Bare-Chested Jeff Goldblum Statue Erected For Jurassic Park Anniversary
Just when it seemed as if we’d reached peak Goldblum with “Jeff Goldblum Day,” the beloved, quirky actor has been immortalized as a 23-foot, bare-chested statue in London. OK, technically, it’s his Jurassic Park character Dr. Ian Malcolm, but whatever.
To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi blockbuster, London’s NOW TV had the film’s most meme-worthy scene — a sweaty Malcolm reclining, with his shirt open — made larger than life in front of Tower Bridge. That statue took more than 250 hours, over six weeks, to construct, and was obviously worth every minute.
